After spending our morning at the M*A*S*H site, we decided to spend the rest of our day at Creek Rock Pools. From Century Lake you’ll want to head left and continue along the trail. Look out for signs for rocks pools but it should be pretty easy to find due to its popularity.
As you are walking along the Crags Rd Trail, you’ll see rock climbers on your right climbing the “Planet of the Apes Wall”. The porous volcanic vertical walls makes this spot a very popular climbing destination.
Following the signs for the Rock Pools, be ready for a crowd. This is no hidden gem and we were surprised by how many people there were (but it wasn’t as bad as Eaton Canyon though). We relaxed by the rock pools and ate lunch. What a perfect way to rest after a hike.
The pool is notorious for cliff jumpers. We decided to take the plunge, as well 🙂
Please be careful when jumping though. Keep an eye out for other swimmers and make sure you don’t pop anything like our friend Victor did with his shoulder 😱😱
Across from the creek, we spotted people crossing along a wall to a rock climbing area. We figured we’d join in on the fun too and try to get across! A little background, Alice doesn’t know how to swim and is afraid of steep grades. Crossing the wall took a really long time and we didn’t get very far 😂. But it must’ve been a fun show for others to see our attempt… 😅
After a long day of adventure, we were ready to head back! Another successful HikeSnobs trip!
